I hadn't heard of this book before either, but I'm adding it to my mental list of books to keep an eye out for. Thanks!

I love the comfortable feeling of escaping into a re-read. It's like slipping on a well worn and comfy t-shirt, there's something comforting and familiar. I haven't done much re-reading in many many years but I used to when I was younger. I'm thinking perhaps I should make more of a habit of it. Next problem: which book to choose?

I haven't heard of this book before, but it sounds good. There is a new memoir coming out called "Wild" that sounds somewhat similar (just a little) and that I'm really looking forward to.

You know I love all things Laura Ingalls too, so I'm dying to read this books. Looking forward to your interview with Kelly Ferguson, too!

I remember trying to make clothespin dolls like Laura and Mary played with. Sadly, they could not compete with my Barbies.

I do enjoy mysteries and thrillers during the fall and winter....not Frankenstein or Dracula, necessarily, but I might even investigate these.

I remember a TV show from the 60s that I enjoyed...Dark Shadows. I can still hear the music in my head.

Here's <a href="http://accidentalmoments.wordpress.com/2011/10/15/tss-more-october-fun-oct-16/" rel="nofollow">MY SUNDAY SALON POST </a> and

I know the feeling....especially after reading a 5 star book, it sometimes takes a bit of reading through some books before I find the perfect one to start on next. I am part of a book club and have loved every bit of it. While we all read quite a few books between each month, it is always nice to pause and meet with other women who love books as much as I do. Best of luck and hope you find a book that grabs your attention soon ;)

That happens very rarely for me. Although I do forget which books I read sometimes after I have read them (thus the reason I started keeping a reading log several years prior to blogging). But once I see the title (or cover) I'm pretty good about remembering. I have been guilty of buying duplicates of books that I haven't read yet.

There are some I would love to accidentally find again - especially one very cool book I read as a teen about a girl living in an old house for the summer, seeing a ghost (who sang greensleeves) and then she slipped back in time to when the ghost girl was alive. Why couldn't I ever find that book again? :)

I'm glad this has been a good discovery for you. I've found that the books I re-read (by mistake, not realizing I've read them before) tend to be books that I found forgettable the first time around.

That has happened to me many times. I've read books long ago, before I reviewed everything I read, and then set them aside and rediscovered them years and years later.

My mom did this all the time. She said she never remembered the plots of books and loved to reread them as it always felt like a brand new book to her.
