Product Review: Respiratory Guard

You’re probably wondering why I’m reviewing a product like Respiratory Guard in a book blog. If you’ve ever wandered through the dusty stacks of a college library, or had an allergy attack in a used bookstore, you know what it’s like when you can’t breathe. If you’re me, you add chronic ENT issues to the mix. I’m not in a high-risk category, so I can’t get the swine
flu vaccine, and even if I could, I’ve read enough about it to believe it’s not such a smart move. Also, I’m pretty sure the nasty flu my husband and I had, along with our circle of local friends, earlier this fall.

Even so, every time I get any kind of flu, it turns into a serious bronchitis in my body, so when I was offered the chance to review this product, I jumped at the chance. I mean, I take vitamins, and try to drink water, but usually I get sick if you blink at me, and if I could chew a fruit-flavored lozenge and not get sick? It was worth it.

I’ve been taking Respiratory Guard for about a week now, and so far, I’m pleased. I’m dealing with a serious inner ear infection, so I haven’t been feeling great, but since I started chewing on these pretty purple tablets, I feel like I’ve been beating it with a bit more ease. I’m sleeping better, and breathing better, and while it’s likely that any anti-oxidant would help, the reality is, adding one to my diet didn’t really occur to me.

Of course the literary side of me loves the fact that elderberry extract is one of the ingredients in Respiratory Guard. Hold the murderous aunties and the body in the window seat, though.

Will taking Respiratory Guard negate the necessity for YOUR
flu vaccine? I don’t know. But it certainly can’t hurt, and it might help you feel better overall.

I do, however, need to warn about one negative aspect of Respirator Guard: the packaging. Generally blister-packs have a backing with one corner raised, or without thick paper, so it’s easy to push the tablet out of the package. My container had the blister-pack equivalent of child-proof caps, and I’ve been using a nail file to open them.

Other than that, I think this product is worth trying.

Because if you can’t breathe, it’s hard to concentrate reading.

*This review is a result of a feedback campaign by Respiratory Guard. The recipients were asked to give their honest opinion about the product they received. No incentive was offered or provided for good reviews, and poor reviews will not be censored for their opinion of the product.
